Jerome C. Chapman IV
Jerome (“Jerry”) Cochran Chapman IV was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from Mountain Brook High School in 2009 and received a degree in Non-fiction Composition in the English Language from Vanderbilt University in 2013.
In August of 2014, Jerry moved to New York City to clerk for civil litigation firm and begin his studies at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. After specializing in Pretrial Practice and Trial Advocacy, he received his Juris Doctor in May of 2017. The following summer, he passed the New York Bar Exam to gain admission to practice. He accepted a position as an associate attorney working to defend corporate clients in the trial courts of the five boroughs, Long Island, and the Downstate Region of New York. Jerry remains admitted to practice in New York.
In May of 2021, Jerry moved home to Birmingham, and accepted a position with Kirk Drennan, P.C. while he studied for the Alabama bar exam. Upon his admission to the Alabama State Bar, Jerry became an associate attorney with Kirk Drennan, P.C. and is proud to serve the members of his community who find themselves in challenging circumstances.
Jerry is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, the Birmingham Bar Association, and the Cardozo Alumni Association. Jerry will serve as a co-chair to the Matrimonial and Family Law Committee of the Cardozo Alumni Network beginning in Fall of 2022.
Outside of the office, Jerry enjoys spending time with his fiancé, and has a love-hate relationship with the game of golf.
