About

Amanda (“Mandy”) Rucks Duncan was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, graduated from John Carroll Catholic High School in 2007 and earned her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and in Foreign Languages in 2010 from The University of Montevallo. In 2013, she graduated from Cumberland School of Law and became licensed in Alabama. Mandy has practiced in many municipal, district, and circuit courts throughout the state of Alabama. Since 2013, she has practiced in several fields including family law, criminal defense, and immigration. Mandy joined Kirk Drennan, P.C. in June 2017, serving as an associate in the Divorce & Family Law Practice Group. Mandy was selected for the 2023 Mid-South Rising Stars list and has been recognized by the National Trial Lawyers Association as Top 40 Under 40 and by the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys as Top 10 Under 40. She is an active member with the American Bar Association (serving as Vice-Chair of the Vulnerable Adults Committee of the Family Law Section 2023-2024), Alabama State Bar, and the Birmingham Bar Association.

When not working, Mandy enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter.
